This project involved creating a number of minimalist movie posters over the course of several days with the goal of improving and showcasing my design skills.
As I didn't want this challenge to impact my work for current clients, I set a one hour time limit for each poster design. Each design that I created was about a movie that either, I enjoyed greatly or had a significant impact on my life. Each day I would upload the poster design to social media. My approach was to try and capture the essence of each movie in a simple way, using motifs, items or characters from those movies. I also kept my font selection to the font that was used originally in the movie's title or it's closest approximation.
